Holiday is about to start

After a long year we finally have a hot summer and what better than getting ready for a holiday.
I don't know how is it for you but for me is all about time spent with family and closer to the sea, with a nice sandy beach.
I am thankful to new technology, in this way I can keep in touch with my friends.  Some are heading to the beautiful Paris, some have returned from the sunny Italy, and some are going to Malta.
I am looking for the mornings when my children are still in bed and I can sneak out from my in-laws  house in Normandy, and start running for half an hour.  It is that half an hour which helps you revitalize your body, giving you the energy that you thought that is well forgotten.
After a week of running you feel ready to go to the sea and ready for long nights with children full of energy and no willingness to go to bed.
The running will have to continue if you are to maintain your level of energy.
I am counting the days and I hope that you are also waiting for your holidays to start or, if you are lucky,  you might have already started yours.

New Government in Romania

The new government just instated has started to show its first weaknesses.
A minister of education that has been accused of plagiarism and, most recent, a foreign affairs minister allegedly  linked to the Russian president.
All these will come to raise  few questions about how credible can be this government?
In the eyes of the western world this must be a deja-vu .  However we have to recognise that changes have taken place and that Roumania has developed and continues to develop, with more companies investing in the country.
Big names such as Ford, Renault, IBM, are just some of the few companies that have invested millions.

What disappoints is that the country remains very corrupt, a country were doctors are asking for money from their patients.  Maybe they should be reminded that in the civilised world doctors are doing their duty and looking after their patients is the main reason why they have chosen to become doctors, saving lives without having to ask for money in return. Or maybe Roumania wishes not to join the civilised world. The solution is simple, the government has to pay the doctors decent wages.

As in the majority of Latin countries the corruption seem to remain epidemic and only a new generation might change these old habits.

I will finish by saying lets give a chance to this government and lets hope that everything is gong to be all right.

Economical unrest will lead to political unrest

The uncertitude in the financial world will lead to a very unstable world in the months to come. It started in Grece and will extend to countries like Italy, Spain and slowly countries from Eastern Europe will foll into this pattern. We are waiting for the politicians to take the right decisions and lead this world towards financial prosperity and further development. In this days when unemployment is raising and youngsters are not able to find a job, globalisation has reached a stand still. We were all counting on this Universal job market, flexible and open to opportunity. We are waiting for for the green light at the end of the tunnel after a long recession, when young people will be happy to take the decision to go to University without having to worry about the future. How long are we having to wait for the right things to happen?

Craciun Fericit alaturi de familie

Se apropie din nou Craciunul ceea ce inseamna ca e timpul sa ne strangem alaturi de familie in jurul bradului de Craciun. Familia e ceea mai importanta in aceste zile, ce poate fi mai frumos decat a avea pe cei dragi alaturi. Ma bucur pentru ca am alaturi familia cea draga, Ophelie si Myleene ne fac mandrii si ne aduc o groaza de bucurii. Tuturor celor care in aceste zile se vor indrepta spre familiile lor, le doresc toate cele bune si fie ca vremea sa nu va fie un impediment in calea spre cei dragi. Craciun Fericit si La Multi Ani tuturor celor dragi, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Europe and the Big Bang Theory

Europe remains the biggest subject of conversation for the political and economical stage of Britain. Politicians tend to blaim Europe for any irregularities, never the real perpetraitors. However Europe is the the crucial factor of stability for UK economy and the success of this country is chained to the old continent. What will be the next move of Germany and France? A more controlled EC economy with tight control and restrictions for inadequate borrowings are to be crucial for the stability of Europe. The big questions is what will Britain do, is she going to remain on the fence or will take the bull by the horns and get more involved if is to have any power of decision. The prime minister will have to decide if is ready to take Britain to the table where the "big boys" will decide the economical future of EC.

O Vacanta mult asteptata

E in mijlocul verii si, spre deosebire de ceea ce se intampla pe continent si in Romania natala, in Anglia liceeni inca mai au de asteptat.  Asta inseamna ca, in cateva zile, vine vacanta "cu trenul din Franta".
E bizar cum a ajuns sa mi se potriveasca aceasta "vorba romaneasca".  In cateva zile, intr-o dimineata de vara eu si familia mea draga ne vom indrepta spre portul Portsmouth pentru a ne imbarca pentru La Belle France. Va fi pentru prima oara pentru fiica mea cea mica ca se va "incumeta" sa treaca canalul, urmand a debarca pe meleaguri normande.
E de asemenea pentru prima oara cand va putea inspira briza marii de la La Rochelle.  E nemaipomenit de bine sa fi si sa te simti cu adevarat in vacanta.
Pentru a respecta traditia multelor familii franceze si nu numai, va fi,  Bienvenue Chez Camping.
Sper ca veti putea sa va bucurati de o vacanta bine meritata si daca, aveti sau nu o familie, veti incerca sa fiti aproape, cat mai aproape de marea cea albastra si involburata.
Pana una alta va las si va doresc toate cele bune si concediu placut.

What is the future going to bring

I am at the end of another bank holiday asking myself what is the future going to bring us.  We live in a world full of unpredictable and surprises and the only thing that we all love the most is our families.
We are stacked in this loop of jobs, home and holidays. Fortunately is that the stress of these loops have their relive valves, the holidays, when photos and films build up the history of a family.
I am waiting for the summer holiday at the end of another hard year, however I am still dreaming, like all of you, that will come that time when I will take my wife and travel, see all those cities that you always wanted to see.
But until then is time yo jump back into the loop.

Romania in lupta cu Europa

E sambata dimineata si, ca de obicei, Ophelie ma trezeste la o ora matinala asa ca m-am apucat sa citesc ziarele din Romania on line si de asemenea sa citesc blogul analistului politic Rares Bogdan.  In plus domnul Rares Bogdan apare la Realitatea de Cluj cu, comentarii politice.  Cel mai recent este referitor la lupta "oarba" a lui Basescu cu marile puteri Europene.

Plecat din Romania de mai mult de 14 ani, stau si ma intreb cat va dura ca Romania sa ajunga sa aibe o conducere cu bun simt si inteligenta pentru ca, fostele guvernari si cea actuala nu au reusit sa inteleaga pana acum ca marile pouteri Europene au facut posibil aderararea Romaniei in Comunitatea Europeana si NATO.  Au avut si interese economice si strategice dar ceea ce trebuie sa recunoastem e ca Romania nu poate intoarce spatele acestor tari cu influenta majora pe scena Europeana.

Si, ca sa ma intorc la domnul Rares Bogdan, este de admirat "lupta" sa jurnalistica impotriva acestor "paradoxuri" din viata politica a Romaniei.
Nerusinarea guvernantilor romani de a scoate de pe piata de investitii a marilor firme franceze nu se va lasa fara un raspuns din partea franceza.

Din pacate Romania are la conducerea guvernului o "marioneta" a carui sfori sunt controlate de "mafia" romana cu acordul continuu de la Cotroceni.  Si cum reputatul rector clujean Marga spenea, romanii care lucreaza in aceste mari tari europene vor putea fi afectati ca urmare a acestor acte nesabuite a politicienilor romani.
Concluzia care o trag este ca proverbul "prostia si fudulia se platesc" este tot mai relevanta pentru acesti "cowboys" care conduc la ora actuala Romania si nu numai, pentru ca trebuie sa evidentiez ca, si opozitia are mare parte in aceste evenimente datorita neputintei lor de a fi o adevarata opozitie.

Un weekend placut si sa auzim numai de bine!!!

European Austerity made in Great Britain

The austerity measures have started to deepen within the British society and the same as else where in Europe the ones to be first affected are the ones that work within the public sector.

It looks that within  the European Union only countries like Germany and France have not pursued major cuts in the public sector.  The vote within UK was a vote for change, a vote to punish the labour government, in the end it was a vote which has led to a major disappointment, which will cause major unemployment for years to come.
We have countries like Greece, Ireland  and now Belgium in the Western Europe and Hungary and Romania in the Eastern Europe which have had no alternatives than borrowing money from IMF and European Bank.
New taxation has been decided and Britain middle class will be the most affected, not to say that the ones that will suffer due to these "draconian" measures will be the new generation which will loose the child benefit.

The question on our lips is : What will be the next measure that the Tory Government will bring for our life's and society, the "Big Society" that David Cameron was so proudly talking about it.  

Life as it happens

Friends and family are always important and life has proved that you have to have both if is to leave in harmony.
It is always great to have fiends around at weekend and to see your family as often as you can, and not just at Christmas.
Friends and Family come to complete you as a person and in my country there is an old say "tell me who your fiends are, to tell you who you really are".  I don't know if is always working, however is great to be able to count on your fiends.
When you finish a week of work is always great to spend some time with some friends and unwind.
We should all try to remember that life is wonderful when we are surrounded  by the ones we love, family and friends.

New Year, new resolutions

Is the end of the year and what I can say is that it went too quickly.  Again another year is gone and another one is about to come, which means it will be again the time for new resolutions.
We are making new resolutions which are always hard to achieve, and every year we are thinking that this year is the year when I really want to get on with these resolutions and insure that I achieve them.
I will end saying Happy New Year  to all of you and good luck with your new year resolutions and all the very best in achieving them.

Christmas, timp pentru familie si prieteni

A trecut din nou un an si am ajuns tot mai aproape de ziua de Craciun, asa ca e timpul sa ne strangem alaturi de cei dragi sau, daca suntem departe de ei, sa facem efortul de a comunica cu ei.
Cativa ani in urma scriam despre importanta de a pune mana pe un stilou/pix si a scrie vederile de Craciun, atunci eram impotriva e-cardurilor si a e-mailurilor.  Din pacate technologia moderna ne copleseste si timpul e foarte important dar devine din ce in ce mai scurt.
Mai sunt cateva saptamani, mai precis trei, si Craciunul va pune stapanire peste aceasta lume bantuita de tehnologie noua.
Ma panichez la gandul ca nu am timp sa pun stilou pe hartie si sa astern urari de prosperitate si sanatate celor dragi si familiei din tara.
Am sa fac un efort si am sa le scriu acest weekend, ultima sansa ca urarile mele sa ajunga la timp la destinatie .
E-mailul si facebook sper sa fie o strigare de disperare si sa fie ultima solutie.
Sper ca si cei dragi mie sau voua sa gaseasca timpul sa astearna pe hartie cateva ganduri alegand ecranul  unui laptop sau PC ca o ultima solutie.
Nu uitati ca la totii ne place sa admiram felicitarile de Craciun primite din diferite colturi ale lumii.
Asa ca am sa inchei prin a ura Spor la Scris!!!!!!!!!!
Toate cele bune si sa auzim nujmai de bine

Romania, who should run this country?

Once again, Romania has shown to a whole world that is governed by a team of mediocre politicians.
The only expertise in which they can excel is corruption, nepotism and foolishness.

En entire country still waits for a miracle, the question that is on everyone leaps is if this country will ever be able to produce a team of politicians without obscure interests, a team with an interest in the progress and prosperity of this nation who had to endure bad times.

The autonomy can be a solution, regions to seek devolution.  Maybe the model of United Kingdom is the one to follow.  Scotland and Wells are examples where devolution has worked.
The question that we seek an answer for:
                                 Is Romania having these kind of politicians?

Cunostinte vechi si noi

Aseara citeam blogul unui jurnalist, prieten vechi din copilarie cu care am petrecut timp impreuna in orasul ardelean Ocna Mures, situat la o aruncatura de bat de Cluj Napoca.
Domnul RB a descins pe meleagurile Albionului, ajungand la Londra cu o cursa care leaga Clujul de Luton.

Ultima oara cand ne-am vazut cred ca e acum 15-16 ani, ne leaga si cateva ramuri de rudenie, dar mai indepartate.  Clujul e orasul de care ma leaga amintiri placute dar, ca sa revin la RB, as fi dorit sa-l vad pentru ca toamna in Anglia e timpul nemaipoment de bine de ales pentru a te "refugia" intr-un pub vechi unde semineul e aprins si care da un anumit farmec atmosferei sau, poate sa ne fi intalnit la o cafea, in unele din sutele de cafenele care impanzesc orasele Regatului Unit.

E sfarsit de weekend si nu stiu cat va sta RB in Anglia, oricum situatia ma impinge sa-mi amintesc de prietenii din Romania cu care de-a lungul celor 14 ani, de cand am parasit Romania, am continuat sa tin legatura, unul dintre ei fiind prieten din scoala primara.
Pentru mine ceea ce este important este persoana si nu ceea ce a reusit sa faca in viata sau ce situatie finaciara are sau  nu.
Oricum RB are trebui sa se gandeasca si la aceste aspecte ale vietii care, sunt mult mai importante decat lumea politica sau cea finaciara a unei tari adancite in groapa adanca a coruptiei si saraciei atat ecomica dar si sufleteasca.

Oricum e weekend asa ca trebuie sa ne bucuram si sa profitam de timpul alaturi de cei dragi, familie sau prieteni.
O zi buna si sa auzim numai de bine!!!!

Romania has failed again

Romania has failed again due to her old habit named corruption.  And its president comes to recognise that the report on Romania speaks the truth, however he is finding hard to accept it.
The most shameful fact is that her neighbour Bulgaria has passed her exam, leaving Romania to fight to recover and improve her image within the EU.
And all this after the Romanian president has been criticized  for his irresponsible decision to open the European gates to the moldovans.  Has he forgotten how hard and lengthy was the whole process for Romanian citizens to be accepted within the European working market.
These issues once again bring up the question regarding the capability of the Romanian government and its president to lead their country?
Most probably not.
Lets hope for the Romanian citizens that we are wrong.

Romania pe urmele Greciei?

Din pacate speranta de mai bine incepe sa dispara la majoritatea romanilor.
Saracia se aprofundeaza si clasa politica pare sa nu se sesizeze. Societatea corupta si plina de interese obscure face ca, clasa politica din opozitie sa ramana pasiva. Si oare de ce ar face ceva atata timp cat interesele de clan si de familie ii leaga de cei de la putere.
Nesimtirea a ajuns la rang de virtute pentru toata clasa politica.

Ce se va alege de Romania? Ce se va intampla in Romania in urmatorii cinci ani ramane de vazut. Solutia ar fi descentralizarea si independenta economica a Transilvaniei fata de celelalte regiuni. Nu stiu ce sa zic, oare chiar asta sa fie solutia, dar disperarea si nesimtirea nonsalanta a celor de la Bucuresti impinge la solutii extreme.

Sper ca intelectualitatea ardeleana sa ramana activa si sa nu treaca in nepasare, acceptand ceea ce se intampla in Romania.

Intrebarea care o pun este : Are Romania acel/acea conducator/conducatoare care sa salveze Romania din gura "hienelor" politice care au adus tara la dezastru economic si disperare?
Ramane de vazut si traim cu speranta.

Un weekend placut si toate cele bune.

Va salut si va doresc sa va bucurati de soarele de Primavara. Nimic nu pare mai bun decat acest impuls dat vietii de catre soarele de Primavara.
Simt cum ma incarc positiv, e dorinta aceea de a merge inainte si de a fi bun si a face bine.
Sper ca veti iesi la soare, profitati de aceasta vreme buna care va va face sa uitati de orice gand negativ sau suparare.
O zi buna si sa auzim numai de bine.

Romania the land of corruption

I am back from a short visit to Romania.
This has coincided with the PSD Congress.
Is not for the first time when I am shocked by the political immaturity shown by Romanian politicians.
It was a shameful show, where politicians were following their own agenda, pursuing their own financial interests and political protection. Embarrassing and also tasteles.
Leaving the political stage, I should come back to reality.
It is unbelievable that the day to day life of any people who are trying to run a business is full of stories of corruption; no deal can be done without having to pay someone or having to make financial concessions, and all this in order to survive in this financial incertitude, during this economical crisis.
Romania is now part of EU and the question remains: Is Romania most corrupt country of EU or is just the small brother of Italy?

Schimbarea care nu s-a mai intamplat

Alegerile au trecut si schimbarile se lasa asteptate. Am sperat intr-o schimbare dar se pare ca nu a fost sa fie, sau poate ca cetateanul de rand se teme de schimbare. Presedintele a fost reales dar sper ca macar parlamentul sa se schimbe si poate ca asa, mult asteptatele schimbari vor incepe sa apara.
Romania e tara in care se asteapta schimbari positive, in asa fel incat cetateanul de rand sa simta ca o duce mai bine. Din pacate ceea ce se intampla este ca, clasa de mijloc e foarte subtire si ca diferenta dintre bogati si saraci se accentueaza din ce in ce mai mult.
Cetateanul de rand poate ca a primit ceea ce a votat pentru, sau poate ca democratia la romani e una care nu s-a mai intalnit.
